{"id":2469,"date":"2017-08-28T19:36:50","date_gmt":"2017-08-28T17:36:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fonderiadilonato.com\/sito2023\/?page_id=2469"},"modified":"2024-04-29T15:44:11","modified_gmt":"2024-04-29T13:44:11","slug":"departments","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fonderiadilonato.com\/en\/departments\/","title":{"rendered":"Departments"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h1>Foundry Departments<\/h1>\n<p>The Fonderia di Lonato consists of 5 departments divided as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>smelting furnaces Department<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>shell moulding casting Department <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>centrifugal casting Department <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>heat treatment Department<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>machining and surface finishes Department <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>Equipment of foundry Department<\/h2>\n<p>The smelting furnaces department consists of <strong>4 induction furnaces, of which 2 are in high frequency<\/strong> with the metal capacity of 400 and 800 kg. and <strong>2 furnaces in medium frequency, <\/strong>both with metal capacity of 1.500 kg. They allow us to produce different materials such as: <strong>cast irons, steels and special alloys based on Nickel, Chromium and Cobalt, <\/strong>for about 4.000 Ton. per year.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fonderiadilonato.com\/en\/departments\/shell-moulding-foundry\/\">shell moulding foundry<\/a> department <\/strong>(Croning process) is equipped for the production of castings with variable weight from 0,2 kg to 40 kg. maximum. The process allows us to obtain blanks with very smooth surfaces, minimal blowholes and restricted tolerances.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fonderiadilonato.com\/en\/departments\/centrifugal-foundry\/\"><strong>centrifugal<\/strong> <\/a><strong>foundry department <\/strong>is equipped with 10 centrifugal casting machines, they allow the production of centrifugally cast tubes with a diameter range from 60 to 1000 mm, lengths up to 2.500 mm and weights up to the maximum of 2.100 kg.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Equipment of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>heat treatment <\/strong>Department<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fonderiadilonato.com\/en\/departments\/heat-treatments\/\">heat treatment<\/a> department<\/strong> is equipped with 6 electric ovens, which allows for<strong> stress relief<\/strong>, <strong>annealing<\/strong>, <strong>hardening, tempering and age-hardening<\/strong> with maximum operating temperature of 1,100\u00b0C.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Equipment of mechanical <\/strong><strong>processing and surface finish Department<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The castings blanks have a rough surface.
